This issue consists of the
submission to the 43rd session of the UN Commission on Human Rights,
including reports on Indonesia and East Timor, Philippines, South Korea, and
Sri Lanka. Its themes include issues of human rights violations, executions of
political prisoners, disappearance and torture, abuses of freedoms of religion
and expression, sexual assault, the suppression of civil rights. Each report
concludes with action suggestions for the Canadian government and the UN.
