This issue
transcribes the CAWG submission to the 43rd session of the UN
Commission on Human Rights. It provides short reports on human rights in
Bangladesh, Taiwan, Japan and Sri Lanka. For Indonesia and East Timor, it
reports on the execution of political prisoners, disappearances and torture,
the mass exodus and arrests, and religious freedoms. Regarding the Philippines,
it examines torture, massacres and forced evacuations. For South Korea, it
covers reunification, detention, torture and disappearances, sexual assaults,
and the suppression of civil rights. Action recommendations are given at the
end of every report.
