This issue contains short reports
on human rights violations in Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and
Taiwan with action recommendations. It also deals with issues in Indonesia and
East Timor of violations of the freedom of expression and religion, torture,
executions and forced disappearances with action recommendations. It also
evaluates the situation in South Korea, including arbitrary arrest and
detention, torture, use of tear gas, and the suppression of civil rights (to
education, labour, freedom of religion and the press) with action recommendations.
