This issue
contains the CAWG submission to the 40th session of the UN
Commission on Human Rights, focusing again on the Philippines. It reports on
political killings and salvaging, disappearances, arrests and torture, prison
conditions, assaults against workers, attacks on the Church, forced evictions,
attacks against labour, infringements on the economic rights of Filipino
overseas workers, media censorship, and restraints on public assembly and
freedom of expression with recommendations. It concludes with resources and
appendices on human rights abuses in the Philippines.
