CAWG Currents 7.1 (1985)

This issue covers various human rights issues in the Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and East Timor. For the Philippines, it reports on suffrage violations, labour protests, massacres of political prisoners and opponents, missing people lists, and village evacuations. For South Korea, it includes reports on government suppression of Church protests, political violence, labour unrest (including complaints to the Pope), re-unification and peace movement, censorship and violations of freedom of expression. It also touches on massacres in Sri Lanka, Indonesian repression of East Timor and the Timorese Church.
