CAWG Currents 03-1996

This issue contains the submission to the 52^nd session of the UN Commission on Human Rights, prepared by the Canadian Council of Churches’ Human Rights Committee. It begins with a statement of concerns and suggestions. The report does not focus solely on Asia and also gives reports on human rights issues in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. It contains short reports on human rights issues in Burma, Indonesia and East Timor and Sri Lanka. It touches on issues surrounding migrant workers, discrimination against minorities, human rights violations, discrimination against churches, the rights of the child and many others. It also includes action suggestions.
