Whitehead shares his thoughts on the issue and the activities of the CCP. It
includes a letter to the editor from Helen Craw, responding to the report of
Carman Hunter and that on missionaries in the previous issue, which she views
as unfair to the missionaries who worked with the Chinese people. It features
an editorial by Jin Yong titled “The Hope of a Christian” (translated by
Michael Stainton) dated December 31, 1976, believe to be sympathetic to the
PRC, which describes the state of the Church as largely positive and
strengthened. The issue includes an extensive section on news, including
activities, developments and publications.
